Get on board the Eilean vessel to learn about the sea

Get on board the Eilean vessel for a day to participate in citizen science activities with the IOC/UNESCO Ocean Literacy team and Panerai in the framework of the UN Ocean Decade.
Citizen science is a fascinating way to get everyone involved in data collection and make people aware of how important it is to support researchers around the world to monitor the health of the ocean and its seas.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
The activities are free of charge and will be organized in two different one-day tours on April 27th and April 28th with departure and return to La Spezia (Liguria, Italy).
To participate in the one-day activities, fill out the form by April 20. Selected participants will be notified by April 22. In case of bad weather or unsuitable diation the activities will be cancelled, participants will be notified the day before the event.
Given the limited number of places, participants will be selected in accordance with the following criteria:
- Gender balance
- Age: over 18 years old. Minors (minimum 12 years old) must be accompanied by an authorized adult who will be responsible for filling out the following form.
- Motivation to participate (we can have a maximum of 8 people on board each day).
- Priority will be given to people who live near the activity area.
All participants must cover their own travel expenses to reach the boarding location in Viareggio and Portovenere. The exact point will be communicated to selected participants.
Lunch will be provided by the organizers.
