Centro de Investigación Mariña CIM - Uvigo

The Marine Research Centre of the University of Vigo (CIM-UVigo) is the core element of the University´s marine strategy, and it constitutes an interdisciplinary reference pole at the local, national and international levels in the generation and transfer of marine knowledge. CIM-UVigo is integrated by 17 research teams, a group of more than 200 people, and constitures one of the Galicia´s 8 Research Centres. It aims to becoming in a European Reference and in a leading institution on Marine Research in the Galicia-Northern Portugal EuroRegion. Our mission is focused on generating excelent knowledge in marine science, in transfering that knowledge for the benefit of society, and on the intarnacionalization of Uvigo´s marine research activitiy.
