Dima Alrahaife
Regionale focal point for MENA region at UNCCD youth caucus

I am an environmental researcher and sustainability advocate with a background in water management, waste reduction, and plastic pollution. I hold a Master’s degree in Agricultural Water Management Engineering, where my research focused on the origins and environmental impact of microplastic polymers. My work has involved waste sorting and recycling initiatives, regional water and climate projects, and promoting sustainability through advocacy and policy efforts. As a member of the Blue Peace Regional Water Exchange Hub and the UNCCD Youth Caucus MENA Regional Focal Point, I support regional cooperation on environmental challenges. Currently, I work as a ConnexUs Officer at Search for Common Ground, fostering collaboration among civil society organizations in the Middle East, with a focus on environmental peacebuilding and sustainable resource management.
