Jess Kashdan-Brown

I am a Co-founder, Producer & Writer at Hermit House, an indie game development studio creating short, beautiful games that connect people with nature. I'm the Producer & Writer for Hermit House, a small, women-led indie studio making games for impact. We make games infused with real-world research, inspiring curiosity and wonder about the natural world and bringing ecosystems and climate stories to life. We are currently developing A Home Below - a 3D underwater adventure game where you play as a hermit crab, exploring the ruins of a house that’s been lost to the sea. I have a BA in English Literature & Creative Writing and an MA in Environmental Humanities. I am very interested in the power of games to communicate important ecological knowledge, forge emotional connections which motivate care and action, and explore climate issues.
