Mohamed Reda Smaili

I am Mohamed Reda Smaili, an educator and sustainability advocate with a strong passion for ocean literacy, ecology, and environmental conservation. With a Master’s degree in Didactics of Science and Educational Engineering from ENS Marrakech and a background in Life and Earth Sciences, I am dedicated to fostering innovative approaches to ecological education and sustainable development. My experience includes working on eco-tourism and alternative economies in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains, promoting nature-based solutions, water conservation, and sustainable energy in earthquake-affected regions. Additionally, I have actively contributed to community-driven initiatives and youth-led environmental projects. Through this program, I aspire to expand my knowledge of ocean policy, governance, and transdisciplinary collaboration, ultimately integrating ocean literacy into educational frameworks and community-driven sustainability efforts.
