Hreint haf is a cutting edge learning material about ocean literacy, climate crisis, plastics in the ocean and student empowerment.

The ocean is used as the red thread in learning about the state of the environment on earth and manmade climate changes. The theme project “Have impact” empowers students in the times of climate anxiety.

The ebook is written for an audience of 10-18 year old pupils.

Hreint haf includes a lesson plan website and Teacher guide. 

The material is written by Margrét Hugadóttir and published by Landvernd, the Icelandic Environment Association and Menntamálastofnun, the Icelandic Directorate of Education.
