Climate change in our backyard is something clear, but the dramatic changing affecting our oceans can turn even in unforgettable and unexpected encounters sometimes. This short contribution is the result of an effective collaboration with a local stakeholder inhabiting the small island of the pontine Archipelago. When citizen science works even the scientific research can benefit immediately.
