Mafalda Freitas

I am currently doing my doctorate in the marine geochemistry field on a project that aims to understand in situ natural mineral carbonation in submarine mud volcanoes. This project is the continuation of my Master’s project. Since 2015 I am academically and professionally involved in Ocean sciences. After the masters I worked in a Paleoceanography group as a lab technician, and I participated in many activities to upgrade my oceanographic knowledge and to qualify myself for a doctorate grant.
