Nishita Narwal is a Ph.D. scholar at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, specializing in the detection and analysis of microplastics and heavy metals in aquatic environments. Her research focuses on understanding the simultaneous interactions of these pollutants and developing nanotechnology-based solutions for their removal, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental impact. Her passion for environmental conservation and scientific innovation has earned her numerous accolades, including the BRICS Young Scientist Award (India, 2023), Young Scientist Panelist (Russia, 2023), and Young Women Scientist recognition by KWSE (Korea, 2021). She has also been recognized as a Young Water Professional and was awarded the Young Water Emerging Leader Award for her commitment to water quality and management. With a deep concern for ocean health and plastic pollution, Nishitha is committed to raising awareness and driving action through science-based solutions. Her work aligns closely with the goals of the Ocean Literacy Mission, and she seeks to contribute her expertise to promote marine stewardship and environmental responsibility at both national and international levels.
