UNESCO invites early childhood educators, teachers, school leaders, and outdoor education practitioners to the launch webinar for Ocean Literacies in Early Childhood: Outdoor Education and Learning for Sustainability, a new toolkit developed within the framework of the Kindergarten of the Lagoon in Venice, one of the initiatives of SEA BEYOND, the project by Prada Group conducted in partnership with the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO.
Focused on children ages 3–6, the toolkit offers practical, place-based approaches to outdoor education, ocean literacy, and sustainability learning that can be adapted across diverse cultural and educational contexts.
Join us online via Zoom on Friday, 5 June 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30 (CEST). The webinar will be held in English.
Participants will discover the new educational resource, explore hands-on methodologies for early childhood settings, and reflect on ways to nurture children’s curiosity, environmental awareness, and connection with the natural world.
