Partner with us
The ocean connects us all — and so should our efforts to protect it.
We work every day to strengthen humanity’s relationship with the ocean—because ocean threats are a result of human behaviour. With the support of our partners, we are building a global movement to restore ocean health and ensure a thriving future for people and the planet alike. Achieving this goal requires important new partnerships.
The Ocean Literacy programme of UNESCO-IOC unites with the public and private sectors, as well as civil society, to turn ocean knowledge into action. We work to make ocean science understandable, relevant, and practical - so it can inform business decisions, shape education, influence policy, and inspire communities.
Active in 150 Member States, the IOC helps embed ocean sustainability across society. We bring decades of expertise, a trusted UN mandate, and an innovative approach to maximize our impact with the help of a growing network of passionate partners ready to make waves together.
