Laura Khatib

I am the French-Lebanese co-founder of the NGO Guardians of the Blue based in Byblos, Lebanon, as well as a freelance consultant in blue economy, science communication and project management. My background is in development economics and sustainable blue economy, with my main interest laying in developing and spreading ocean literacy to reconnect local communities to their blue spaces.

I am passionate about the relationship between humankind and the ocean, ocean literacy, ecosystem regeneration, photography, storytelling, handcrafts, blue mind, scuba diving, marine cultural heritage, Lebanon and the Mediterranean.
