Description

Marine and Environmental Researcher with 20 years of experience in marine pollution, sustainable food production and blue economy topics. She holds a PhD from the University of Barcelona (2012), an MSc in Advanced Studies in Ecology (2008), and a Master in Sustainable Management of Coastal and Marine Systems (2007).


She is a Senior Researcher and the Head of Biodiversity and Blue Economy at the Atlantic International Research Centre (AIR Centre), where she leads various projects and initiatives related to marine and environmental sciences.


She has been a speaker and organiser in different High-Level events to bring science discussions to a policy-maker level and promote science diplomacy and international cooperation. Currently, she acts as a Contact Node for the Atlantic Ocean at the EU Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP).
