Have Your Say: Participate in the EU4Ocean Coalition UNESCO-IOC Survey!

The ocean plays a critical role in sustaining life on Earth, regulating climate, supporting biodiversity, and providing livelihoods to millions worldwide. To enhance efforts in ocean conservation and literacy, the EU4Ocean Coalition, in collaboration with UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), is inviting participants of past events and initiatives to complete a short survey.

This survey aims to collect valuable insights from individuals who have engaged with various ocean literacy activities organized by EU4Ocean and UNESCO-IOC. Whether you've attended thematic workshops, participated in Youth4Ocean training sessions, joined the #MakeEuropeBlue Campaign, celebrated World Ocean Day, or engaged in regional webinars, your experiences matter. By sharing your feedback, you can help improve future initiatives and contribute directly to shaping impactful ocean literacy programs.

Taking only 5-8 minutes to complete, the survey gathers information on participants' engagement with events, their background, understanding of ocean-related concepts, and personal perceptions about ocean sustainability. Crucially, it also seeks to assess the impact of these initiatives on participants' attitudes and behaviors, exploring whether and how involvement in EU4Ocean and UNESCO-IOC events has inspired meaningful change.

Your responses will shed light on the effectiveness of current approaches and highlight areas for potential enhancement. Additionally, participants are encouraged to share personal stories and specific actions they have taken or plan to undertake following their involvement in ocean literacy activities. These narratives will provide compelling evidence of individual and collective impact, serving as inspiration for continued community engagement.

Participation is entirely voluntary and confidential unless respondents choose to share their contact details. We warmly encourage all who have been part of our ocean literacy journey to voice their thoughts and help us enhance our collective impact in promoting ocean knowledge and stewardship.
