Your Voice for the Ocean: Submit your response and join our Ocean Literacy Community
Published
Aug 5, 2026

UNESCO invites young people aged 18–35 to share their voice and contribute to the global conversation on the future of our Ocean.
The Ocean connects us all, sustaining life on Earth and supporting the well-being of current and future generations. Yet, protecting it requires ambitious action, strong cooperation, and policies that recognise the Ocean’s vital roles for our planet.
If you could ask a world leader one question for the future of our Ocean, what would you ask?
Share your question by 14 August through the online form.
If you are older than 35, your perspective matters too. Join the discussion space in our Ocean Literacy Community to exchange ideas with fellow ocean advocates and enthusiasts, and share the actions you believe are needed to ensure the Ocean is protected, respected, and sustainably used.
Together, we can help shape the future our Ocean deserves and contribute to the conversations that will influence decision-making for generations to come.
