Aida Silva is currently working as a civil servant (Senior Technician) at the Regional Directorate for Sea Affairs (DRAM), from the Regional Government of the Azores – Portugal. Aida has a degree in Life Sciences (Biochemistry) and Science Communication and has been working directly with Portuguese government bodies dealing with maritime affairs for the past seven years. Aida’s present role is coordinating the maritime spatial planning (MSP) process of the Azores and supporting the implementation of other marine policies contributing to SDG14. Formerly worked at the Directorate-General for Natural Resources, Safety and Maritime Services (DGRM), the national competent authority on MSP.
