LlĂșcia Ribot (b. Mallorca, Spain, 1989) is a science journalist, an avid reader, curious and resourceful professional. She holds a BS degree in Science Communication (UCM) and a MS in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication (UPF), as well as a MS in International Affairs, Security and Development (UAB). Mainly reporting on marine sciences, Ribot has also covered advances in biomedicine and social sciences, as well as news on local politics. Since November 2020, she works as a Communication and Ocean Literacy Officer at the Balearic Islands Coastal Ocean Observing and Forecasting System (ICTS SOCIB) in Palma, Spain. Prior to that, she has worked at the Institutional Representation of the CSIC in the Balearic Islands, the UNESCO Chair in Life Cycle and Climate Change ESCI-UPF, the IRB Barcelona, the Lavinia Interactiva Communications Agency, the Takuvik joint UL/CNRS Laboratory, and the Consorci Sanitari Integral (CSI)- a Public Health Consortium-, among others.
