Im an enthusiastic of science for decision making, either by individuals and institutions. I believe in the research outputs as the way for changing society and not as the end of a process of knowledge production. I have been working in Ocean Literacy by research best practices, methodologies and frameworks for coproduction of knowledge among stakeholders, considering all their cultural, social, and professional backgrounds. In our Maré de Ciência project (Tide of Science), who have been working with educators (schools and non formal spaces of learning), decision makers, private sector and citizens by engaging and producing local actions linked to the global challenges. However, there is still an important challenge: how to engage with stakeholders there are not part of the ocean community, either by living far from the sea or by being close, but not seen their connection?
