Barbados
Description
We conduct groundbreaking, interdisciplinary research and advocacy, producing high-quality data, demanding a human rights-driven policy response to the climate crisis. We work to activate the right to health and amplify the voices of vulnerable and marginalized communities in Big Ocean Striving States and other vulnerable regions in the Americas and beyond.
We believe that a fundamental avenue to attaining climate justice is to understand the impact of climate change on the ocean, and the corresponding impact on intergenerational cultural practices. This is of particular relevance to Indigenous and marginalised communities, and we seek collaborative partnerships to achieve our mission to craft higher levels of climate resilience through the lens of Ocean Literacy.
