Description
Since 2010, Misión Tiburón has been working in environmental education, with a focus on ocean conservation—particularly shark conservation. Through our educational programs, we have reached more than 10,000 students.
In recent years, we have strengthened this area of work by promoting ocean literacy. Since 2025, we have also been promoting the Blue Schools program in Costa Rica. To date, we have certified three schools and are in the process of certifying three more.
In addition, we organize educational events such as the Bull Shark Festival, a three-day initiative featuring educational activities and training sessions. The festival brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including schools, fishers, divers, and artists, engaging almost 1,000 people.
