Blue School Brazil is an educational initiative that integrates ocean-related themes into school curricula across the country. The program promotes Ocean Literacy, encouraging students, teachers, and communities to understand the ocean’s role in our lives and how our actions impact marine ecosystems.
Although the name refers to the ocean, the program also includes rivers, lakes, and mangroves—especially relevant for inland schools. It aims to foster environmental awareness, critical thinking, and sustainable practices, aligning with the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
