The National Coordination of Blue Schools Venezuela articulates educational, scientific, and community efforts to strengthen ocean literacy throughout the country. From our Caribbean coasts to the schools furthest away from the coastline, we promote a vibrant network of learning, care, and action for the oceans.
As the national node of the Blue Schools Global Network (BSGN), we drive:
Contextual adaptation of the principles of ocean literacy, integrating local knowledge, environmental realities, and transformative pedagogical approaches.
Regional support for schools, teachers, and communities, providing training, resources, and advice to develop meaningful projects linked to the sea.
Production of educational materials and modular signage that transform school spaces into living laboratories for environmental reflection and action.
Interinstitutional articulation with universities, NGOs, government entities, and international networks.
Promotion of playful and participatory activities that awaken the curiosity, respect, and commitment of children and youth to marine ecosystems.
From the National Coordination, we weave bridges between science, culture, and education, planting blue consciousness in every corner of the country. The Venezuelan National Coordination of the BSGN was founded in 2025 and has 3 schools in its network so far.
