The Call for Applications for the Summer School on Ecosystem Regeneration & Ocean Literacy is now open.

The Summer School on Ecosystem Regeneration & Ocean Literacy, now in its second edition, was developed within the Save the Wave project, born in 2021 as a collaboration between IOC/UNESCO, E.ON and the University of Bari with the aim of restoring and conserving marine ecosystems damaged by anthropogenic impact and the climate crisis. The Summer School targets young professionals, with the aim of training a new generation of sea guardians and explorers. It involves prominent experts and provides an opportunity to engage the local community and tourists through the organization of public events.

This year, the Summer School will take place on 24-28 June 2024 and is open to a more international audience through the selection of 15 young professionals who will be trained both technically and in terms of communication and scientific storytelling on the importance of protecting its ecosystems. The deadline for applications is May 17, 2024.
