Description
Maxine Cutracci has extensive international work experience, having worked for the past 8 years in Asia in the field of education and marine science research.
Currently she is the Science Coordinator at The Harbour School and she works as a Research Assistant at the Hong Kong University on a project that aims at identifying and studying cryptic fish species using genetic tools. At The Harbour School she has developed a new science curriculum following the NGSS and integrating marine science into all subjects. Previously, she was the schools Marine Science Specialist for 5 years, working as an aquarist and marine science teacher, developing citizen science projects with local NGOs and higher education institutions.
Ms Cutracci is a member of the Commission on Education and Communication at the IUCN and Board member of AMEA, the Asian Marine Educators Association. She is passionate about diving and learning new languages, she is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian and beginner in Mandarin Chinese.
