Initiate, Implement, and Carryout Geological, geophysical, and geohazard mapping at reconnaissance, regional, and detail. Geochemical analysis of geochemical samples for identification of geology and verification of mineral content. Provision of geological, geohazard maps, geophysical data, and reporting associated with applied geoscience projects, infrastructure development, aggregate resource estimation, and coastal inundation surveys. Provide timely geoscience advice to Government Agencies, the Private sector, and the public related to mineral development, geological engineering development, and geohazard-related issues. Endorsement of MSR request in Fiji’s EEZ, provision of sound geological information to the Fiji Maritime Affairs Coordinating Committee workgroup on the maritime boundary, the extended continental shelf demarcation, and negotiations and the National Marine Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction technical working group.
