Lessons from our Planet – The Future of Glaciers
The environment seen through art: a series of digital lessons by artist Anne de Carbuccia.
The Future of Glaciers
The survival of ALL of us wherever we live on this planet depends on our glaciers. Losing a glacier is like losing a very important protector.
The Future of Glaciers shows us how much the world of glaciers has changed and how Anne’s art has evolved with it. Scientists say we are reaching a tipping point. We need a new individual and collective approach to save them, but we already have the solutions.
Lessons form our Planet address certain educational themes that are becoming increasingly relevant for the school of the future: urban responsibility and the importance of choice, the connections and interconnections between events and between us and the planet.
They focus on 7 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) designed by the United Nations to serve as a “shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future”.
The lessons are in English, and Italian and are divided by theme:
- Our Ocean
- Endangered Species
- Pollution and Solution pt. 1
- Pollution and Solution pt. 2
- The Future of Glaciers
- Our Soil (Coming Soon)
- Plants and Resilience (Coming Soon)
The Lessons form our Planet are FREE and include extra materials and a lesson plan.
