Partnerships are at the heart of the Blue School approach. Ocean Literacy cannot be developed by schools alone. By connecting schools with researchers, NGOs, museums, aquariums, public authorities, community organisations, cultural institutions and ocean-related sectors, Blue Schools create richer and more meaningful learning experiences for students.

Partners contribute in a wide range of ways: providing educational resources and expertise, offering field activities and site visits, supporting teacher training, connecting schools with ocean professionals, and helping to amplify the network's reach and voice. They bring expertise, real-world perspectives, resources, and opportunities that help transform ocean learning into action, thereby supporting schools in exploring local challenges, developing projects, accessing scientific knowledge, and engaging with their communities.
